Kent grew up in the small town of Wells, ME, where he was introduced to the game of golf by his father. Kent played on the golf team at Pace University where he earned a victory and four NCAA regional tournament appearances. In 2012 Kent graduated Magna Cum-Laude with a Degree in Marketing & Advertising.
His professional career began at Willow Ridge Country Club. He attained his PGA Membership under the tutelage of a top Met PGA Professional John Reeves before moving to Wykagyl Country Club as an assistant teaching professional. Kent is an excellent instructor who helps golfers from the beginner level to experienced competitors. Regardless of the student or experience level, Kent enjoys helping all golfers reach their own personal goals, whether it be to break 100, or contend for the club championship. He is also an excellent club fitter with the experience and knowledge of this specialty to ensure all golfers can acquire the necessary equipment to play their best.
Kent takes pride in his own game, practicing and competing throughout the season and winter months. He is an excellent player with many top finishes throughout his career. Two recent highlights include qualifying for the 2017 PGA Professional National Championship in Oregon competing against the Nation’s Top Club Pro’s. In 2018 Kent won the MET Team Championship where he and his partner shot 59 in the final round besting a stellar field.
Now at Westchester Hills, Kent looks forward to getting to know the membership and to use his knowledge and experience to give his members exceptional golf experiences. He hopes to encourage all members to find a love for the game that will truly last a lifetime.
